28 Hyderabadis trapped in quake-hit Khatmandu Hyderabad, April 25 (INN): At least 28 Hyderbadis have reportedly gone missing in quake-hit Khatmandu.
They include 13 women passengers and two assistances. They went to Kathmandu through Sai Baba Travels about a week ago. However, as the communication system has gone completely shut, the family members are unable to contact their dear ones.
Following is the list of missing Hyderabadis: P Nageswara Rao (62), Mogudampally Prabhakar Gupta (65), P Prakash (62), R Sambaiah (57), G Chandra Shekar (40), S Rama Krishna (64), Gattu Srinivas (48), Chit Milla Narasimha Rao (70), V Gowri Shankar (36), Santosh (25), Raju (35) and two assistants. The women passengers who are missing are: P Sarala (54), Andalu (54), Balanagamma (62), K Anuradha (52), R Sujatha (54), G Srikam (36), S Sashikala (54), Gattu Lalitha (45), M Sharadha (58), Lalithamma, Jayamma (58), Sakkubai (58), Chits Milla Bharathi (65), C Sheetal (30) and A Maheswari (60).
Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao wrote a letter to Indian Ambassador in Nepal Ranjith Ray and sought his help in tracing the missing Hyderabadis. The Chief Minister Office's had sent a fax message to the envoy seeking assistance in safe return of all passengers. KCR also requested Ray to take up safety measures if people of India and Telangana State are caught in the earthquake.
The Chief Minister has directed the CMO officials and in-charge Information Commissioner BP Acharya to stay in touch with the Nepal officials till all Telugu people safely returns home.
