KCR sanctions Rs 1 lakh for treatment of driver's son Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has sanctioned Rs 1 lakh for the treatment of Mohammed Ibrahim, son of a cab driver Ahmed Shareef, who is suffering from Spondylitis HLAB.
The cab driver, Ahmed Shareef, had approached the Telangana State Cabs and Bus Operators Association (TSCBOA) seeking financial assistance for the treatment of his son Ibrahim, 27, who had to undergo second surgery for the replacement of a hip-bone which was costing him around Rs 2.65 lakh. TSCBOA President Syed Nizamuddin took up the matter with Association's Honorary President and TRS MP from Medak LS seat Kotha Prabhakar Reddy.
Acting on the representation, Prabhakar Reddy immediately approached the Chief Minister who directed the officials to issue orders sanctioning Rs 1 lakh under the Chief Minster's Relief Fund. Subsequently, on April 21, Special Secretary to CM P Rajasekhar Reddy issued a letter to the Yashoda Hospital informing them the Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 1 lakh and therefore, necessary action may be taken for providing treatment to the individuals and send the bills after completion of the treatment.
Ahmed Shareef has thanked the Chief Minister, TRS MP Prabhakar Reddy and Syed Nizamuddin for the gesture and immediate intervention to help him out of the crisis. He informed that his son will be admitted in the hospital on Monday and his surgery is scheduled to be held on Tuesday.
