AP CM to launch Industry Mission tomorrow Vishakapatnam, April 28: With an aim to bring a global investor outlook to Andhra Pradesh to make it best business destination by 2050, Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu will launch the government's Industry Mission tomorrow in Vizag.
This massive event will also witness the unveiling of the state's Industrial Policy and Sector Policies apart from the launch of a single-desk portal (that grants clearances for industrial projects within 21 days).
Given that recent surveys estimate India's growth rate will surpass global superpowers like the US, the Industry Mission of AP will contribute to 'Make in India' initiative which will give a major thrust to the national as well as state's economy.
The State Government will sign 46 MoUs with 46 companies from India as as from countries like Japan, UAE, Canada, etc, attracting total investment worth Rs 35,745 crore.
These MoUs will include investments in sectors from petrochemicals to energy, infrastructure, electronics and manufacturing, food processing, textile, automobiles, et all, thereby generating 72,210 new jobs in the state.
As part of the MoUs signed, 48 units will be set up in the state, spanning across various districts. Among these, one company will set up three units.
Break-up of location of the units: 17 of them will be investing in Chittoor district, 6 companies in Kurnool and 6 in East Godavari, 3 companies in West Godavari, 2 in Nellore, 2 in Kadapa, 2 in Ananthapur, 2 in Visakhapatnam, 2 in Guntur, 2 in Krishna district, one in Prakasam and 2 in the state (place hasn't been decided).
Later, the Chief Minister will give land allotment letters to Asian Paints (for Visakhapatnam unit), ONGC (for Kakinada facility), KRIBCO (for Nellore) and Kurlon (Chittoor).
International delegates including Minister Plenipotentiary and Charge D'Affairs, Embassy of UAE, H.E. Saed Mohammed Almheiri, Consul General of Japan to Chennai, Masanori Nakano, Consul General of Canada Sidney Frank, CEO of ICBC Nadira Hamid, Trade Commissioner, High Commission of Canada - Vikram Jain and delegates from HPCL, GMR Group, HSBC, Citigroup and several others.
The Chief Minister will hold meetings with the Ambassador of UAE and Consul General of Canada, followed by a meeting with Isuzu executive.
Two panel discussions on ''Igniting the start-up spirit in AP' and 'creating electronics manufacturing hub in Andhra Pradesh' will be held.
