CATS anniversary celebrations on May 1st Capitol Area Telugu Society (CATS), Washington DC is organizing their 10th anniversary celebrations this year on May 1st in Virginia & May 2nd in Maryland. CATS is a Telugu community organization that has been in the forefront to promote Telugu culture, language, arts and entertainment in Washington DC metro area.
A lot of programs are planned for this upcoming event along with many competitions such as STAR Singer contest, Dance Idol, Math Wizard, Vocal and Badminton etc. To recognize and provide a social platform for local Telugu community a special life members only banquet dinner is planned on May 1st in Virginia. Main event will be on May 2nd in Maryland. Along shortlisted local talent performance of Dance & Songs, Tollywood stars Nikhil, Richa Gangopadhyay; Singers Hemachandra Shravana Bhargavi and Simha; Dancers Bhavana and Aadarsh are coming live in the event to entertain all.
Also for this event invitation has been sent to Indian Ambassador at Washingotn DC Indian Consulate, Maryland State Delegate Aruna Miller, N.K Mishra Minister Community Affairs at Indian Embassy, Maryland Delegate Kumar Barve, Maryland Congressman Chris Von Hollen and Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggit. Most of designated invitees will be visiting the event as guest of honor and address the local community.
