HMR MD asks staff to participate in 'Swach Metro' Hyderabad, May 16 (INN): Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director NVS Reddy addressed a gathering of HMR and L&TMRHL employees on Saturday at Metro Rail Bhavan and urged them to participate in 'Swacch Hyderabad - Swacch Metro' programme in a big way.
Explaining the objectives of the programme, he goaded them to clear the debris in Metro rail corridors, fill up pot holes and spruce up the Metro work spots. He also asked them to remove posters etc., from Metro pillars and see that their beauty is not marred by ugly posters.
Sufficient number of tippers, dumpers and other vehicles; bitumen, wire brushes, water drums, etc., are being arranged for debris removal, pot hole filling and poster removal to spruce up Metro work spots and pillars. The entire length of 50 km, where Metro works are going on, is divided into 11 units of 4 or 5 km each and specified units will take care of the upkeep of these stretches. The programme will be started at Panjagutta Metro station tomorrow (Sunday) at 9:30 am.
NVS Reddy is also the Mentor for West Marredpally area which is one of the 400 GHMC units and the designated team under his leadership along with many enthusiastic citizens of that area will start 'Swacch Hyderabad' activities at Nehru Nagar, West Marredpally Park on Sunday morning.
