AP's solar power corporation's website launched Hyderabad, May 25 (INN): APGENCO Managing Director and APSPCL Chairman K Vijayanand on Monday launched the website http://www.apscl.ap.gov.in/ of Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corporation Pvt. Limited (APSPCL), a JV Company of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Govt. of India.
The Managing Director/APSPCL, VC& MD/NREDCAP, Directors and other Senior Officials of APGENCO and APTRANSCO have attended the inauguration function.
The APSPCL is a joint venture company, formed as per MNRE Scheme for implementation of Ultra Mega Solar Parks wherein 50% equity is held by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), 41% by APGENCO and 9% by NREDCAP to setup Solar Power Projects in Andhra Pradesh by providing Land, Transmission, Water, Roads & other Infrastructure. The APSPCL is presently developing 1500 MW N.P. Kunta Solar Park at Ananthapuram and Kadapa District and 1000 MW Gani and Sakunala Solar Park at Kurnool District.
At N.P. Kunta Solar Park, out of 1500 MW, NTPC is setting up 1000 MW Solar Power Project wherein in Phase- I it is developing 250 MW for which contract has been awarded to EPC Contractors and entered Power Purchase Agreement with APDISCOMS. NTPC is planning to issue RFS for the remaining 750 MW in Phase ' II.
At Gani and Sakunala Solar Park at Kurnool District, Govt. of India has sanctioned 1000 MW Solar Power Project under NSM Phase 'II state specific bundling scheme under which 500 MW of Thermal Power out of the unallocated power with NTPC will be bundled with 1000 MW of solar power and will be supplied to the AP Discoms. As per this scheme, NTPC has issued request for submission from prospective developers for setting up 500 MW Solar Power Project. For the remaining 500 MW also, NTPC has already issued notice inviting tenders and request for submission will be available from 28.05.2015 onwards.
