Polling for MLC seats in Telangana on June 1 Hyderabad, May 25 (INN): With the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi staying firm on fielding its fifth candidate for the elections for six vacant seats of Legislative Council, polling has now become inevitable and the same will be held on June 1.
While Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, R&B Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Council's ex-Deputy Chairman Neti Vidyasagar, Bodakunta Venkateswarlu and K Yadava Reddy are contesting on behalf of the TRS, Akula Lalitha is from the Congress and Vem Narender Reddy is the candidate for TDP-BJP combine. At the end of deadline for withdrawal of nomination on Monday, all the seven candidates remained in the fray which made the contest inevitable.
