28 lakh beneficiaries registered under PM insurance schemes Hyderabad, May 27: Convener, State Level Bankers Committee, Telangana has informed that registrations for the insurance schemes of 1)Pradhana Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana 2) Pradhana Mantri Jeevan Jyothi Bima Yojana and 3) pension scheme Atal Pension Yojana launched on 9th May 2015 are going on at all the bank branches in the State. It is informed that so far 28 lakh beneficiaries have registered for the insurance schemes.
1.Under the Pradhana Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, accidental risk insurance
cover of Rs.2 lakhs is available for all the Savings Bank accounts of age group between 18-70 years with a very low annual premium of Rs.12/-
2.Under Pradhana Mantri Jeevan Jyothi Bima Yojana, life cover of Rs.2 lakhs is available for all the Savings Bank account holders of age group between 18 -50 years, with an annual premium of Rs.330/-.
Registrations for the two insurance schemes are open upto 31st May 2015 for all the SB account holders. People who do not have SB account can open account with any bank branch and enrol for the schemes. Beneficiaries can subscribe to both the insurance schemes.
Applications for the insurance schemes and the pension scheme are available in all bank branches in the state and can be downloaded from slbc website

Convener requested the public in general and SB account holders of banks in
particular to avail the benefit of risk cover under the schemes available at low premium.
