CSs of Telangana and AP met Union Home Secretary New Delhi, May 30: Chief Secretaries of Telangana State and AP Rajiv Sharma and IYR Krishna Rao respectively had a meeting with Union Home Secretary L.C. Goyal'this morning in New Delhi.
Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma mentioned in the meeting that in respect of Scheduled Nine institutions the division of assets has to be done on the territorial basis.
He also said that with regards Scheduled Ten institutions Telangana State is committed to provide services to AP state government on payment of cost. There will not be any joint management of these institutions as asked by AP government said the Telangana Chief Secretary.
The Union Home Ministry has included some more institutions in Schedule ten and Telangana state shall continue with the offer of providing services to these also.
Regarding Section 8 the stand of Telangana has been reiterated by the Chief Secretary that no rules are necessary as section 8 is very clear about the procedures to be followed for the maintenance of Law and Order
