Gandra asks TRS Govt to waive off cross loans Hyderabad, June 29 (INN): Congress senior leader Gandra Venkataramana Reddy on Monday demanded that the Telangana Government waive off remaining dues of crop loan waiver scheme.
Speaking to media persons here, Gandra criticised the State Government for delaying the clearing of crop loan. He said instead of clearing the crop loan dues of nearly Rs. 17,000 crore, the State Government has splitted them into many installments. He said the government did not clear dues of even 40% so far. He said that the TRS Government should emulate the previous Congress Government in taking up welfare measures for farmers. He said that the Congress Government not only waived off crop loans, but also provided free power, input subsidy and other benefits.
