Dengue spreads deadly tentacles across Telangana Hyderabad, Aug 14 (INN): With 259 registered cases so far, the Telangana State is in the grip of deadly Dengue.
According to officials of Health Department, more number of Dengue cases have been reported this year compared to the last two years. A maximum of 75 cases have been reported from Khammam district while Hyderabad is on third position. The State Government has directed all private hospitals to inform the District Health officials if any cases of Dengue approaches them. It also directed them not to harass the patients or unnecessary force them to transfuse platelet's.
Meanwhile, a four-year-old girl, Sahita, died due to Dengue fever in Bowenpally mandal of Karimnagar district. She was suffering from high fever for the last one week and was underwent treatment at a private hospital in Sircilla. She was discharged on August 12. However, she fell sick again and was admitted to Karimnagar Civil Hospital where she succumbed on Friday.
