Cyberabad Police launch 'Project Safe Stay' Hyderabad, Aug 22 (INN): The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, in association with Society for Cyberabad Security Council and a NGO United Way of Hyderabad, launched the Project Safe Stay here on Saturday.
The session's objective was to bring together the management of hostel owners and hostel inmates face to face to discuss, deliberate and arrive at secured solutions towards the safety issues springing up in the hostels in IT corridor.
The meeting was presided by Cyberabad Commissioner C.V. Anand, SCSC Secretary Bharani Kumar Aroll, Madhapur DCP Kartikeya Sharma and other officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Anand, recapped that after the Abhaya case the main concern and objective of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate is to ensure safety and security of women professionals in all parameters and at all hours of the day. He reiterated that Project Safe Stay aims at the fulfillment of safety parameters for the working women in the IT corridor.
Bharani Kumar Aroll stated the objective of the project is to foster and facilitate the safety and security of the working women in the hostels and ensure a good partnership in creating a nurturing environment for better business transactions in the IT corridor.
DCP Kartikeya Sharma presented the social and business case for providing a better safety infrastructure in hostels for women living in the area. A survey was announced in partnership with the United Way of Hyderabad to understand the safety infrastructure in the hostels.
The session closed with an interactive open forum where hostel owners and hostel inmates expressed their concerns on existing processes and infrastructure and made suggestions for improving the same. The concept of the open forum as conceived and executed by the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and SCSC which was highly appreciated by the hostel owners and the hostel inmates equally.
