TTD to conduct twin Brahmotsavams Tirumala, Aug 24 (INN): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust Board has decided to conduct the twin Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara this year in a prestigious manner.
Speaking to media persons after the Board meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan here on Monday, TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy said that the annual mega religious fete would be conducted at a grand scale so as to enable participation of more number of pilgrims. Brief about the resolutions passed during the meeting, he informed that the Board has approved for the sanction of about Rs 4 Crore towards the construction of Pilgrims Amenities Complex at the famous Lord Vighneswara Temple at Inaville in East Godavari District.
On a two-year term contract, about Rs.4.3 Crore has been approved towards the supply, maintenance, treatment of water in all the dams present at Tirumala The board has approved for the appointment of Dr. Tulluru Anjaneyulu as SVETA Director and Colonel Chandrasekhar Manda as HRD consultant for a period of one year. TTD procured a revenue of Rs.18.54 Crore and Rs.13.61 Crore respectively in the e-auction of human hair sale in the months of June and July respectively. Approval has been given for TTD to print 15 lakhs numbers of 12-sheet calendars and 7 Lakh Diaries. Two suites in Sri Krishna Sadan Rest House will be henceforth allotted to pilgrims.
The board has given consent towards the purchases various commodities for a period of six months.
