VHR condemns DS for criticising Congress party Hyderabad, Aug 29 (INN): Rajya Sabha member V. Hanumantha Rao on Saturday condemned Special Advisor to Telangana Government Dharamapuri Srinivas for criticising the Congress party.
Speaking to media persons here, VHR said that before targeting the Congress party, DS must realise that the same party gave him the status and identity which enabled him to secure the post of Special Advisor. He said Srinivas had quit the Congress party and joined TRS only due to his greed for post and power. He also claimed that DS was made the PCC president twice as the then Chief Minister Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy was against him elevation to the post. He said although AICC President Sonia Gandhi wanted him to become the PCC President, YSR opposed his candidature as he wanted a 'Yes Man' on the post. He alleged that DS fits in the category of being called a 'Yes Man' and for the same reasons he was able to get a post in TRS Government.
VHR also accused Srinivas of selling away party tickets during different elections.
Addressing a separate press conference TPCC Spokesperson Mahesh Kumar Goud asked Srinivas to explain as to why he lost elections three consecutive times if he was so efficient.
