Congress threatens to stall Assembly Hyderabad, Oct 3 (INN): Congress MLA D.K.Aruna on Saturday announced that her party would not allow the Assembly to function until the State Government agrees to clear the remaining dues of crop loan waiver in single installment.
Addressing a press conference in Congress Legislature Party office here, Aruna said that the Congress would strongly oppose the joint session of Assembly and Council over the Water Polcy. Instead, she advised Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to convene the joint session to discuss farmers' suicides. Else, she said that the opposition parties would give a power-point presentation on farmers' suicides.
Aruna urged Governor ESL Narasimhan not to permit the joint session proposed by KCR. Asking the Governor to stay away from the proposed joint session, she alleged that KCR was planning to give a power-point presentation only to divert attention from farmers' suicides.
