28 Members suspended from Telangana Assembly Nearly 28 members of Opposition Congress, TDP, BJP and the Left parties were'today suspended from Telangana Legislative Assembly. Telangana speaker Madhusudhana chary suspended them from the house 'for remainder of the on-going monsoon session. The members were suspended for disrupting the House while insisting on a debate over farmers' loan waiver.
After the house assembled on Monday 'S Madhusudhana Chary took up Question Hour, but the Congress and TDP members sought a debate on the loan waiver for farmers.The debate'began on a stormy note with the Congress Member D.K. Aruna getting up and demanding that Government announce a firm deadline on one -time settlement of farmer loan-waiver.''The Speaker, however, rejected their demand observing that the farmers' issues were discussed at length for two days last week.'Several congress and TDP members raised slogans against TRS government. The slogan-shouting members moved closer to the podium of the Speaker S. Madhusudhanachari and his appeals went in vain, with the Opposition remaining firm.
As the Opposition MLAs entered the well of the House and raised slogans, the Speaker asked Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao to move the motion for suspension of the members. A large number of members named by the minister were suspended for the remaining days of the monsoon session.'Amid high drama, all of the suspended Members were evicted from the House.
Addressing reporters at Media Point, Opposition members'said they would all join hands to corner the Government and ensure that farmers get justice.The monsoon session of the state Assembly is scheduled to end on October 10. This is second time TRS government suspending members from the house.
