PTC evinces interest to offer power trading solutions Hyderabad, Nov 24 (INN): Given that Andhra Pradesh is making strides in the power sector, Power Trade Corporation (PTC) has evinced interest to offer power trade solutions to the state.
In this regard, Deepak Amitabh, Chairman, Power Trading Corporation met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu here today. Since Andhra Pradesh has been able to achieve power surplus within a year, we can offer power management services that will benefit the state's exchequer, he said.
Meanwhile, Deepak Amitabh explained to the Chief Minister PTC's roles and responsibility as a buyer, seller and facilitator in the power sector. 'We research, analyse the market and set the tariff rates,' he said.
The Chief Minister inquired mechanisms adopted by the company to minimize T&C losses and determination of power tariff. He asked the delegation and officials to undertake an exercise to understand changing norms in the power sector.
PTC undertakes trading of power to achieve economic efficiency and security of supply and to develop a vibrant power market in the country.
