TS Ministers condemns AP Cabinet's decision Hyderabad, May 3 (INN): Different ministers of Telangana Government on Tuesday condemned the decision taken by Andhra Pradesh Cabinet to oppose irrigation projects of Telangana State.
Addressing separate press conferences, the Telangana Ministers accused the TDP Government of causing obstacles in the development of Telangana.
Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the Telangana Government need not take fresh permissions as it was constructing projects to utilise water which was allocated during erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh. He asked whether the TDP Government sought permission for the construction of Pattiseema project.
Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy told reporters in Nizamabad that the Telangana Government was constructing the projects as per the decision of Bachawat Tribunal. He said that the proposed irrigation projects would be constructed at any cost. He hoped that the court would rule in favour of Telangana if AP Government fights a legal case.
Transport Miinster P. Mahender Reddy said that the Telangana has every right to utilise its water as it wishes. He alleged that the TDP and YSRCP wants to deprive Telangana its due share in Godavari and Krishna waters.
