KCR expresses concern over crisis in textiles industry Hyderabad, May 4 (INN): Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has expressed serious concern over the crisis in textiles industry in Telangana State.
Stating that the textiles was the second largest industry after agriculture in Telangana, the Chief Minister has assured to provide required help to support the industry. He gave the assurance while interacting with the delegation of Telangana Spinning Mills Owners Association which called on him at his camp office on Wednesday. The delegation told the Chief Minister that spinning mills were badly affected due to global slowdown.
The Chief Minister stressed on strengthening the local market for cotton clothes. He directed the officials to prepare an action plan to revive and strengthen the industry in the State.
TRS MLA M. Janardhan Reddy, Industries Secretary Arvind and other officials were also present on the occasion.
