TS MPTCs stage novel protests in New Delhi Hyderabad, July 28 (INN): MPTCs from Telangana staged a novel protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to demanding the Centre to release funds meant for local bodies under 14 Finance Commission.
The MPTCs staged a half-naked protest and resorted to begging on the streets to highlight the indifferent attitude of the Centre in releasing funds to local bodies for various welfare schemes.
TRS MP Burra Narsaiah Goud and Congress MP R Anand Bhaskar extended their solidarity to the protesting MPTCs. Speaking on the occasion, Narsaiah Goud demanded that the Centre should immediately solve the long pending issues of ZPTCs and MPTCs saying that the delay was causing a hurdle in carrying out development works in the rural areas.
