TRANSCO chief reviews 400KV transmission works Hyderabad, Sept 26 (INN): Chairman and Managing Director Telangana State TRANSCO & GENCO D. Prabhakar Rao directed the officials and the executing agencies to complete 400kV Maheshawram SS, Bay extensions at 400kV Dichpally SS and the connected lines on war footing so as to match the completion schedule of 765kV Wardha - Dichpally - Hyderabad system being implemented by M/s PGCIL for drawal of power from Chhattisgarh.
The progress of 400KV Transmission works was reviewed by the CMD in a meeting held on last Saturday. The meeting was also attended by C. Srinivasa Rao, JMD (Finance, Comml. & HRD), G. Narsing Rao, Director (Projects & Grid Operation), T. Jagath Reddy, Director (Transmission), J. Suryaprakash Rao, Director (Lift Irrigation schemes) and D. Latha Vinod, Chief Engineer (Projects-I) along with the concerned HQs and field officials and executing agencies.
While reviewing the progress of all other 400kV projects, the CMD said that all the Substations and Connected lines under Power evacuation schemes like Bhadradri TPS(4 x 270 MW), KTPS VII(1 x 800 MW), Yadadri TPP(5 x 800 MW) and System Improvement schemes should be completed as per the stipulated schedules. He said that the 125 MVAR Bus Reactors should be erected on war footing in the 400KV SS at Gajwel, Veltoor, Shankarpally, Mamidipally and Malkaram for stabilising the Voltages. The field officials have been instructed to settle the Right of way Issues amicably with the help of Revenue authorities.
The agencies have been urged to engage adequate gangs and complete the works within the targeted dates. 'The poor progress of executing agencies who are not adhering to schedule will be taken into consideration while evaluating the future bids. There shall not be any compromise on the quality of materials in the construction of lines and SS. Corruption at any level will not be tolerated,' the CMD said.
