DGP unveils handbook on IT Security Hyderabad, Oct 22 (INN): Telangana Director General of Police Anurag Sharma unveiled a handbook titled 'Information Technology Security ' Best Practices' at Police Headquarters here on Saturday.
The handbook contains handling of computers, Malware defense, security of removable information storage media, smart devices (smart-phones, tabs, smart TV etc), home devices (Wi-Fi, ADSL routers), online transaction/ATM, social networking, e-mail communication, password, internet browsing and multi functional peripherals for distributing to all police officers and men working in Telangana to educate them regarding Information security.
The DGP has appreciated IGP Intelligence V. Naveen Chand and his team for their efforts in preparing the book which would be very useful to the police organization and even to general public.
IGP (Personnel) B. Shivadhar Reddy, IGP (SIB) V.C. Sajjanar and DIG CI Cell Rajesh Kumar were also present in the meeting.
