Home Guards stage dharna at Secretariat Hyderabad, Oct 27 (INN): Home Guards who are demanding the Telangana Government to solve their long pending demands and are staging a dharna in this regard at the Indira Park had on Thursday made a vain bid to storm into the Secretariat building.
The agitating Home Guards were prevented from entering the Secretariat by the police which closed all the entry and exit points. After staging protest for over an hour, the representatives of Home Guards were allowed to submit a memorandum to Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma.
Speaking to the media after meeting the CS, representatives of the Home Guards said that they have demanded the government to provide benefits like TA, DA and other health services. They said that issues like granting three day leave, regularization of services and extension of services like health cards and ESI be provided to them.
Representatives of the Home Guards said that the Chief Secretary had assured them to raise their issues with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and assured solution to them.
