Kerala CM thanks KCR for 25 Cr donation Hyderabad, Aug 20 (INN): Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan thanked his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrashekhar Rao for contributing Rs. 25 crore for the relief and rehabilitation in flood affected areas in Kerala.
"The overwhelming response from your State demonstrate the extent of compassion and care that we show to each other in the hour of crisis and calamity, which makes us all proud of being part of Indian ethos and spirit," Vijayan said in his letter sent to CM KCR.
Kerala is experiencing worst floods and enormous damage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey and released 500 crore as immediate assistance. Governments of Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and several other states also announced immediate assistance.
