It will be a Congress CM: Naidu Kodad, Dec 5 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu said that if People's Front comprising of Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI comes to power in next elections then the Chief Minister would be of Congress party.
Addressing a massive public meeting at Kodad on Wednesday, Naidu said he had come to Telangana to support people in developing Telangana. "It will be a Congress Chief Minister after elections," he said and condemned KCR for accusing him of creating hurdles in development of Telangana.
Impressed with the huge turnout for the meeting, Naidu said he had not seen such a huge crowd in a public meeting in his entire life. He said such a large gathering was a clear indication was people were sending TRS home. Polling is on December 7 and KCR will retire permanently on December 11 after declaration of results. Asking cadre of Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI to work together, he expressed confidence that the TRS candidate in Kodad would not secure deposit against Congress candidate Padmavathi Reddy.
Chandrababu Naidu also condemned the arrest of TPCC Working President Revanth Reddy at past mid-night and described it as un-democratic. He said that police behaviour was condemned even by the court. Stating that such actions reflect the way KCR was running the government, he said people should not fear such things and fight like a tiger.
Replying to KCR's criticism, Naidu said he had come to Telangana for the people and not for him. "KCR is asking the need for TDP. If there was no TDP where you would have been? You are a leader today because of TDP," he said adding that KCR's was speaking in a highly arrogant tone. However, he said KCR has realised that there was a wave against TRS in Telangana and therefore, he was now speaking under a sense of insecurity and fear of defeat.
The TDP president said there is a 'Senior Modi' in Delhi and 'Junior Modi' in Hyderabad. Both are working in tandem and enacting dramas to cheat people. KCR is a friend with MIM during the day and with BJP in the night, he said.
He also slammed Modi Government for rising intolerance in the country, demonetisation and GST. "BJP have no votes or seats in Telangana. But its leaders are roaming around in helicopters," he said adding that there were only fronts in the country. One front is of PM Modi and another is the one which Congress, TDP and other parties have formed. TRS and MIM should speak out on which side they are standing.
"Both TDP and Congress regimes have developed Hyderabad. They brought Hitech City, Cyberabad, airport, outer ring road, Krishna River water to Hyderabad, etc., KCR should specify what he has done so far? KCR has only constructed the farm house where he will retire after elections," he said while appealing people to make December 7 polling as last elections for TRS.
Referring to KCR's outburst on people when he was questioned on double bed room houses and 12% Muslim reservation, he said KCR's comments were a direct attack on people due to fear of defeat. "KCR never came to Secretariat and never met people to solve their problems. Now he is moving in helicopter to all areas seeking votes," he said.
