Chandra Babu Naidu greets KCR Hyderabad, Dec 11 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President Nara Chandrababu Naidu congratulated his Telangana counterpart and TRS President K. Chandrashekhar Rao on winning the Telangana Assembly elections.
Speaking to media persons on Tuesday, Chandrababu Naidu said that he respects the people's verdict in Telangana wherein the TRS got a clear mandate to form the government again. He also congratulated all the candidates of other political parties who won the elections.
By winning a record 87 out of 119 seats, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi has registered a historic victory in the Telangana Assembly elections whose results were declared on Tuesday.
The 'Praja Kutami' (People's Front) compromising of Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI got just 22 seats. Of them Congress bagged 20 seats while TDP got two seats while TJS and CPI could not win a single seat. MIM retained 7 seats while BJP's tally got reduced from 5 in last Assembly to just one now. Rebel candidate Chander Patel who contested on AIFB ticket won the elections from Ramagundem.
