Q. How can I subscribe to Subhalekha ?

Fill up the Registration form & click Submit. The search for your soul-mate is as simple as that. Registration is a simple affair and takes less than 2 minutes. You will need to fill-in a few details about yourself. Please provide detailed and accurate information & upload your photo to have a better chance of getting contacted by genuine prospects.

Q. What happens next ?

For quality & authentication purposes, we manually inspect each and every profile. Once we approve it, your profile can be viewed by a huge discerning audience that has made the TeluguPeople.com site immensely popular.  This process takes not more than 24 hours.

Q.How can I change my password ?

Login with your email-id and the unique system-generated password that you have recieved soon after registering. Then click on Change Password in the Sidebar. In the fields - "Choose New Password" and "Confirm New Password", replace your existing password with your new password and click on "Change Password" button. Your new password is activated. The next time you log on to your page, you will have to use the new password.

Q. What does Profile ID mean?

When you add your profile, a "Profile ID" will be assigned to you automatically. You can quote this ID to friends or contact to help them see your profile easily.

Q. How do I modify my profile information?

Login using your e-mail id and password and select the Modify Profile option. Make the changes in your profile. Click on the "Modify Profile" button to update the changes. However please note that all changes will not take effect until it is approved manually for quality purposes. The approval process does not usually take more than 24 hours.

Q. How can I contact a particular person by email ?

It's not possible for us to reveal the email address of any person. You can initiate contact with that person from the Contacting this Profile area of his/her Profile.
If they are interested in getting in touch with you, then they will contact you. At that point, you can start text conversation (Personalised Messaging).
When you use Personalised Messaging,you can exchange email addresses or whatever information you want.
Please note that the personalised messaging is a premium service.

Q. How do I upload my picture ?

A. To upload a picture, select the Photo option in the Sidebar & upload your photo in the page that appears. Photo file size should not exceed 50 kilo bytes. Only JPG or GIF images are allowed. Additionally you can also specify whether you want to show your photo to everybody or only specific people

Q.How can I contact other members?

You can search through our database of discerning & smart individuals seeking partners using the Quick Search option. When you wish to contact a profile, click on the Contact this profile option below every profile to send a message to that member. Paid members have an advantage as only they are permitted to use this option. Till March 1st 2003, however, even non-paying members can take advantage of the Personal messaging feature.....

Q.How do I view a particular profile?

In the Go to Profile on the right, enter the 'Profile ID' of the profile. This will enable you to view the details of that profile.

Q. So what do I pay ?

Subhalekha has two types of Service.
1. Free Service
2. Paid Service

Q. Why am I not able to login or why is the message "Invalid Matrimony Id / E-mail ID or Incorrect Password" being displayed ?

A. The password you have entered might be wrong. If you have forgotten your Password, please click on the Forgot Password link in the Sidebar to retrieve the same.The E-mail ID you are using to login must be the same one with which you registered on the website.

Q.I forgot my Profile ID. What should I do?

As long as you remember the email address & password with which you registered, you can always login & find your Profile displayed in the Topbar alongwith the name with which you have created your account. You can inspect your Profile information or check the activity of the other Profiles that you have created by starting from the My Profile page. A list of Profiles you have created will be displayed. You will need to click on a particular Profile to review information you have saved for that profile.

Q. I have forgotten my password. Can you help me ?

A. Well, no problem! please click on the Forgot Password link in the Sidebar. Type the Email address with which you have registered & your password will be despatched to your to your Inbox.

Q.How can I improve my chances of finding a match?

  • Try to give a clear self-description. 
  • Enter your expectations clearly and completely in the My Partner page. 
  • Add your photo to your profile as profiles with photos get a better response. 
  • Become a paid member to enjoy all the benefits.
  • Login often to search through the latest profiles and initiate contact.
  • Keep checking the Auto Match & Astro Match features to find the closest matches & contact propective partners.


Q.I'm not getting any/enough results on Searching. What should I do?

Please check your search criteria. If you are searching for a particular caste, try rephrasing your spellings. We suggest you use partial names or try all the possible spellings in the caste field to get profiles of a particular caste.

Q.What is the "My Partner" feature all about ?

My Partner is a feature that helps you define your ideal spouse and set your suitability criteria.

Q.What is the difference between Free Service and Paid Service ?

There are two kinds of services we offer our members.
