Three killed, four injured in arch collapse
Hyderabad, Aug 2 (INN): Three workers were killed and four others were injured when an under-construction entry arch of gated community apartments collapsed in Hydernagar of in Kukatpally on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at about 4 PM on Tuesday near the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). The deceased have been identified as Dharmarao (45), Nagabhushanam (45) and Janardhan (55). The injured persons have been admitted to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, along with Kukatpally MLA N. Krishna Rao, visited the spot. GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy directed Zonal Commissioner Gangadhar and Deputy Commissioner Narendra Goud to probe into the matter and submit a report on the incident.
According to GHMC, no permission was accorded for the construction of entry arch.
The KPHB police have registered a case and began investigation.
