The sheer energy & enthusiasm of the participants was so infectious that the passing onlookers couldn't resist joining FlashMob in spite of pouring rain. Several participants mentioned that this FlashMob is first of its kind in the Bay Area.

Union Square is historically a sight-seeing place in the middle of San Francisco downtown with large shopping malls around. With heavy rain pouring in the afternoon, there were over 100 participants wearing traditional Indian outfits (sarees, salwar, kurti, and Kurta) appeared spontaneously in public, and performed dances to various popular songs from Indian music that provided entertainment, awareness and kick-off to the BATA 40th Anniversary promotion.
