I strongly agree to "mundu udaka pettukuni varchu kunte koora inka baguntundi."
If you dont boil the vegetable and directly, put it into "Tamarind" paste, the vegetable, never gets cooked.
So, all the time, you should boil and fry little bit, before adding it to "tamarind paste". DONT overboil the vegetable.
