| I feel the love and affection should be same before and after death to a person. There is no meaning if after death someone forgets it for every.
That is why. after death we keep photos to remember them even if we forget.. we should give them same love and time in terms of thinking.. atleast reminding the memories..
Ofcourse, with the current situation and too much of additonal load of memories, friends, relatives, near and dear.. we cannot make out that much time for the past ones.. but atleast we can remember then once a while or we need to make a note to remember them.. (reminders for remembering the past ones.. same like for TVshows , etc we use..)

This is a beautiful article and the questions raised by the writer are thought-inspiring. As the question suggests itself, it is definitely appreciated if people around make the person live happily and not torturing them rather than ill-treating or neglecting the person in the family through out and behaving inhuman and talking big things after one;s death. That is real Karma. We have to do good Karma. But doing Karma to parents after their death and talking great things is ofcourse remembering them and if they were valued and respected when they are alive and missing them. There is no death to soul. It is the physical body which leaves. Mortal coil I mean.
Definitely there are instances showing that Atma roams around and there is one book "Life after death" which gives clear instances of dead apparing again as the soul is restless if it is unnatural death
