Thanks for the info on INDIA. I would like to tell one thing that the divisions of our society(caste sytem ) killed all this greatness. The masses of INDIA never knew about these things . This is failure of our culture. Everbody is confined to his caste based profession/knowledge. There is no room for innovation/creativity/partcipation from masses. Our vedas (upanishads) have a lot of knowledge , but a few have access to this. So knowledge was never distributed. Our society killed the creativity of masses. This is the reason for our current situation , no feeling of unitedness about own culture. Some sections of people are using this divisionality till today that is unfortunate. Unless we have oneness feeling among us , we cannot influenece with our culture.

Good collection andi, kaani we all should be shameful for one thing, our people are going to abroad and spending their precious time & knowledge outside. Adhe , mana india lo undi chesinte, mana desam epudo, U.S ni minchi poyedi. This is because of our bloody politicians and some senseless people who think only of money and go abroad.
Sorry friends , if I had hurt any of you,
bye

These achievement figures would have been still on the higher side, if
1) Our politicians did not come in the way of real growth
2) Population growth were to be less, so that the real progress could have been 'felt'
3) If only we had learnt the better side of the Westerners instead of aping them blindly
4) Merit were to be encouarged at any cost, by considering real poverty as the criterion for reservations etc.
5) License & permit raaj were to be discouraged in 1950s itself
and so on
