Dear Sri Ravuri Ravi Reddy, This is in response to your comments posted reg. the news article JP opens a new era, on this portal. It is important that the TeluguPeople web readers are made aware of the facts of the matter: 1. Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan (Dr. JP) of Lok Satta Party is not and has never been a member (of any category) of Andhra Rashtra Samithi. He did not even attend the meeting in Vijayawada (held on Kakani Venkata Ratnam’s death anniversary) you had mentioned in your web post. Lok Satta Party (LSP) and Dr. JP have never made any statements regarding Hyderabad as a Union Territory. Obviously, there is a clear mistake of fact. 2. Dr. JP is the first to actually demand the setting up of a tribunal intra-state sharing of river waters so that fair and equitable allocations for all three regions are institutionalized. Such intra-state tribunals (unlike the inter-state tribunal awards such as the Bachawat), are the only way to correct the disparities in sharing of river waters between different regions of the State. Dr. JP stated this categorically on the 2nd of June, while addressing the general public and the media in Hyderabad (widely reported in the newspapers too; just a google search away). 3. On the same day, Lok Satta Party firmly demanded the implementation of GO 610 in letter and spirit. Dr. JP also demanded constitutional status to be given to the Regional development Boards. Lok Satta Party also demanded district wise budgeting, adequate resources to regional boards, along with the authority to implement GO 610. Development of our Telangana region should not be confined to mere slogans, wouldn’t you agree? 4. You had mentioned about the AP Govt.’s General Administration Department (GAD) Secretary and the recruitment policies: In his entire 16-year career as a civil servant, Dr. JP was never the Secretary of General Administration Department (GAD)! I can understand if you were confused, as there was Sri AR Jayaprakash (IAS; now retired) who served as a Secretary of the GAD. Incidentally, AR Jayaprakash himself hails from the Telangana region and to the best of my knowledge, even his father was an officer of the Hyderabad Civil Service, during the Nizam’s time. Sri AR Jayaprakash is an upright officer known for his excellent service record. 5. Lok Satta Party and Dr. JP have never taken any stand on the non-applicability of GO 610 to judiciary. In fact, if 6-point Formula is made applicable to a department, then GO 610 should also be applied. 6. Lok Satta Party is, arguably, the most democratic Indian political party in structure and functioning. The entire party leadership starting from the primary unit to the State and National party unit is elected through secret ballot. Its electoral candidates are chosen through open primary elections by secret ballot, where all registered voters (not just party members) can participate. Decision making too is made by duly elected, collective leadership. You will soon see, by the end of 2007, elections being held by secret ballot for the leadership at every level. In 2008, there will be open primary elections for all 294 Assembly and 42 Lok Sabha constituencies. 7. Lok Satta Party raises funds in a completely transparent manner, with due receipt for every contribution. Its financial reports are independently audited and submitted to the Election Commission of India, as per the law of the land. They will be made available in the public domain too including the internet. I invite everyone to visit www.loksattaparty.org website for further details. 8. Lok Satta Party’s office bearers travel by various modes of transport including train, but more frequently, by government buses. Recently, the Party office bearers along with hundreds of ordinary members toured the entire district of Srikakulam - on foot! They undertook a padyatra and covered over 900 km, reaching 610 panchayats in a period of 30 days. This campaign reached out to the remotest of habitations in one of the most underdeveloped region of our State and brought the message of New Political Culture to the people. Ravi Reddy ji, hope this clarifies your concerns and doubts. I suggest one should get his facts fully correct before posting comments, especially on public domain. Kartik Hyderabad

This is good to discuss some thing about developmental activities, at the same time don't fall in to his intellectual trap, where he is not coming out clearly about telangana problems. Providing education, health and basic necessities to all the people is a good point he makes. Where ever he never talks specifically against the corporate education? He is the champion of co-operative form of organizations, why he propose same thing in education and health sector? The fact is he is funded by this entire corporate educated world to run his party? How Loksathha party bearers can afford A/C train facilities where ever they go? Where these money is coming? Here are few points we need to remember. 1) JP belongs Krishna and he is honorary member of Andhra Rashtra Samithi and he spoken about Hyderbad as union territory in Kakani Venkata Ratnam (Jai Andhra Movement leader)death anniversary in Vijayawada. This shows his true colors about his parochial attitude. 2) He never speaks about fair sharing of Krishna and Godavari water resources with in unified Andhra. How can he allow Krishna delta people to go for third crop, where as nalgonda fluoride affected people deprived of drinking water? It is clearly clinched by Maslow hierarchy that man initially needs food and shelter later they can talk about corruption, clean politics and so on. Those words are sweet to our ears where as common ryot looking for water to his crop and ending his life on an electric transformer doesn't make much sense. Please remember that water comes first later every thing takes priority. 3) He is so much ambiguous about his goals and actions. He speaks lot about decentralization at the same time why didn't he talk about telangana. He speaks lot about collective decision but why he runs the show for Loksathha. Even some T region activists of telangana asked him for resolution why he kept quiet? 4) He was instrumental in violating the constitution article 371D (G.O. 610) please remember that he worked as a secretary in General administration department (GAD) where recruitment policies and decisions will takes place. How these Andhra officers cheat us I will a small example.. Every body knows there is so much fighting is going for 610 G.O. In the recent meeting Chief Secretary Harinaryana garu who knows for his integrity and honesty simply tells that 610 G.O doesn't applies for Judiciary staff. How can he do malfeasance with the constitution? Please refer to article 229 and it is given that.. Provided that the rules made under this clause shall, so far as they relate to salaries, allowances, leave or pensions, require the approval of the Governor of the State. (3) The administrative expenses of a High Court, including all salaries, allowances and pensions payable to or in respect of the officers and servants of the Court, shall be charged upon the Consolidated Fund of the State, and any fees or other moneys taken by the Court shall form part of that Fund. Please observe two terms one is governor and the other one is Consolidated Fund of the State and refer to article 371D. It is quite clear that high court staff will get the salaries from state exchequer with an approval from governor (i.e. Council of minister). How can he say high court is a separate entity and doesn't come under G.O.610? Fact is these officers clearly know the law and the constitution just they are misguiding our T- ministers all these days for their region benefits. As an honest civil servant u need to furnish the correct information, why are u misguiding? I beg all the NRI's don't be fall in this intellectual trapping, they did it in1956. Right now Loksathha is clearly driven by above middle class Andhra intellectuals. We should urge them to pass a resolution in support of telangana. Natural fact is even how bad is the son …son is son to his mother no body take that position. Regards, RaviReddy
