Discrimination between good and bad, privilege of having Choice are the ones which differentiate human being from other living beings.The word ‘human’ itself describes the characteristics of human being such as being humble, human, grateful,disciplined etc.
Human beings have their own language and so as other living beings.The same applies with regard to feelings, sorrow, happiness, eating, sleeping and increasing the number of generations. But man is booned with the power of ‘DISCRIMINATIVE CHOICE.’ The choice to move further and higher in the spiritual plane, the urge not to be born again and again and increase the effects of karmas, the eagerness to merge with the ultimate lead man forward and further in this world.
Great are the living beings born as human.Even great are the human beings who realise their ultimate spiritual goal of mergence with the universal love.Only when a being acquires innumerable merits will it be eligible to take human birth.After taking human birth with lots of hard work,pain,urge and eagerness, human being should live a life divine.If not he again goes down to the level of animals and beasts and it takes hundreds and even thousands of births to qualify for human birth.Man goes on accumulating innumerable effects of karmas called actions of his previous incarnations.These karmas take the form of invisible garland around the neck of a new born baby.He grows up and since his childhood, he performs so many karmas both good and bad.For any karma ,there are effects .When one does good action there is a good effect.Not saying about the bad karmas having very bad effects.Man has to get over all the effects both good and bad.If not, man goes on taking birth after birth inorder to nullify the effects.
So inorder not to be reborn or nullify the effects , we need to surrender all our actions to the Lord.When we surrender our actions to him with no trace of ego,humility or guilt,then we will not be the doers of the actions because the actions are offered to him. God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh. We ought to have the feling that we are not the ones who are performing these actions but that we are mere instruments and actors who came to play a role given by the Lord of the universe.We only feel to act , but we do not act with feeling in real sense while playing a role.So is the same with our human birth.When we surrender all our actions to the lord before or while performing them, they become sacred.Sometimes our wicked mind gives a thought like it can perform any bad action and offer it to the lord so that it will not be the doer.But the heart makes the mind realise that when we truly surrender our any action to the lord we make sure it is divine and not false.We do not offer anything bad to the lord willingly and knowingly.When one realises this truth,he is moving on further on the spiritual plane of self-realisation.
It is high time we realised the value and worth of taking human birth by purposefully dedicating all our actions to the lord with no ego .It is our inbound duty and responsibility to check ourselves at all moments, after all this is our own life.No one is capable of taking us to the spiritual plane.They can only guide us.
Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome.
Human being proves his worthyness and differentiates himself from other living beings by utilising this transition stage.Taking the human birth,we have the ability to make choices using discrimination.In human birth alone we see the tendency to try to follow what is good but not what is pleasing. The mistakes are all waiting to be made.To err is human, to knowingly live in the error is not helplessness but foolishness. Repeated and known mistakes can never be forgiven. Man is blessed to have the awareness and discrimination not to repeat a mistake and thus learn a lesson from it thereby and reach his Ultimate Goal of Mergence with the Divine.
