Nenu ee madhyane america ki vachanu. I just wanted to share my experience here.
I stayed for some time in a room of Indian students. once we all went to a mall. There one of my roommate asked me that 'have u ever seen a mall like this in India?' in a scornful manner. I got pretty irritated, what the heck does this guy think. I asked him,'have u ever been to a mall in any Indian metro'...this guy gave up then.
one more incident, one day we were planning to go to a pub.
one of them told me, to change my haircut, saying that ilooks like an indian'. Some other day, the same guy says 'if any gal asks u 'if you are from India' tell her that iam not but my parents r from india. This time,i did not speak out, for this guy was a damn dirty one. The way they spoke hurt me.
I dont mean that all guys here behave like that, but their words really made me thought, may be after staying here for a while, will i turn like that? that was the question that popped up,to me. Konni prasnalaku kalame samadhanam cheptundi antaru kada, vechi choodali.
