Small states : Prone to rule by proxy
The case of some of the legislators of Chattisgarh being dictated to by the Naxalites, to ask certain questions in the state assembly, clearly indicates the limitations of such small states. These states simply don’t have the ‘ muscle’ to withstand such pressures.
In case of ‘Telangana’ it will be even more so , since the so-called leaders of the seperatist outfit TRS are more pre-disposed to honour and obey the dictates of the naxalites. They have no choice other than satisfying each and every demand of the Maoists. In other words, ‘Telangana’, if it comes, will be ruled by the Maoists.
