Sri Sarma is a disciple of Padmasri Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam, an exponent of Kuchipudi dance form. The dance-drama was rendered in 7 acts or scenes and each and every one of these acts was presented with outstanding finesse that could only be achieved by years of practice and mastering of the Kuchipudi art. The dance simply excelled in bhava (expression), raga (melody) and thala (rhythm) components that are integral to the portrayal of this famous mythological theme. The audience was captivated by the expressions, poses (bhangimalu), comic interludes and lucid narration of the story that brought back memories to many.
