Modern women have implanted envy, jealousy, manipulations and hypocrisy, weight in head... where are we leading? Men is taking over all our god-given good nature! :)
I was born Malaysian, as a teenager I used to feel that my parents are very old fashioned and nagging - rule no. 1 no parties, rule no.2 no dating concepts, rule no.3 no mobile phones and unncessary phone conversation with boys, rule no.4 curfews... must come back home before 10 pm if we attend friend's birthday party, rule no.5 MUST wear churidar or saree to temples with hair tied back and neatly plaited, rule no.6 our parents used to eat up our brains learning lalitha sahasranaama, vishnu sahasranaama, venkatesa suprabaatham, thevaram, abbbabababa... how many things we could do despite having exam tensions which is so important in life!! gosh.. our rules are never ending!
But today when I think back, I feel I am lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful lovely mother who have nurtured my family into a beautiful school! I learnt that a beautiful family is a women's achievement, not buying homes, cars and dating mens! I call a beautiful family as a school because that a school is where we learn many things! Today, all my siblings are very well raised and polite children.
These compliments we get from many elderly people around. So I would say it is 100% my mother's work on bringing us up as an appreciatable entities! Kudos to AMMA. I was sent to veena classes, bharathanatyam and odissi. I feel so close and rooted to my India, though we are all settled in Malaysia for over 100 years now. This is where I realize the importance to remembering our roots, how our great grandparents came to Malaysia from Vijayawada and Chidambaram. I feel happy to say I am a Malaysian - Indian.
Women are the glorified, dignified, fantastic creation of God. Please let's not spoil or misuse our girl-power!
