During the recently held Yuva Garjana the TDP annonced that 1.It would launch a special policy for the youth, named YES(Youth Empower Scheme), according to this scheme, Rs.50,000 Crores will be spent over a period of 5 years to provide jobs. A separate ministry would be created to implement this scheme. 2.Loans at 10 paisa interest rate, 3.An unumployment allowance of Rs.1,000/- per month, 4.Free education for poor students among the forwars community people in Andhra Pradesh. 5.A 500 crore budget for the upliftment of minorities, and 5% reservation for muslims.
The prajarajyam chief, Chiranjeevi has been busy in wooing the voters through his Prajayathra. In all the road shows he said,'I am your soul mate, I am not a leader but a server, give me a chance I will see that all of your problems will be solved'.
The ruling Congress party is carefully watching the movements of the opponents and is highly confident of regaining the power because of its several welfare schemes like Rajiv Arogya sri, etc and there is not much anti incumbency factor. The ruling party also engaged popular actor Nagarjuna, for the publicity of it's various welfare schemes on the regional television channels. Efforts are on to woo victory venkatesh and Jagapathi babu to engage them for the party's campaigning.
The political parties are also wooing the minorities,BC's and women by several attractive schemes as mentioned above, eg : reservations.
According to Loksatta Convener, the election campaigning expenditure by the main parties (like TDP and Congress) in Andhra Pradesh would be double the USA's recently held election expenditure. In the U.S.A., the main parties (Republican and the Democratic) spent around 1700 crores for campaigning in the recently held presidential elections and in the Andhra Pradesh's forthcoming elections, it would be around 3600 crores of rupees.
According to him, Prajarajyam's leaders even compared their chief's electoral fortunes with that of U.S.A.'s president elect Obama as both want some 'change'.
The advent of many new parties and the greediness for power are responsible for compelling various political parties to unveil many new agendas, schemes for the overall welfare of the people of the state of Andhra Pradesh. If these schemes help in achieving the constitutional goals of egalitarian society, welfare etc, it would be good for the State, other wise the people will be confused with many populist schemes being annonced by the parties in the fray.
The voters should carefully analyse and vote.
