IJM Berhad, another Malaysian firm, is also involved in two projects being set up by two different governments. There is a 2,200-unit apartment project worth US$150m, which is being put up in association with Andhra Pradesh Housing Board (APHB).
The same company has been wooed by the Punjab government, and is constructing a 500 acre integrated township ($350m) in Mohali in Punjab with the Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA). The investment: US$ 350 million.
In September last year, the Tamil Nadu government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Singapore-based developer, Lee Kim Tah Holdings, for setting up an integrated township on the outskirt of Chennai. For an investment of $115 million, Lee Kim Tah Holdings will 'design and build' the township which will house in residential complexes, commercial complexes, entertainment centres, hospitals, schools, etc.
