WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?
Raising Positive Kids in the present condition is a challenging task. Without special efforts, training, expert knowledge, and guidance it will be half done. Man is good by nature. The latest research reports explain the importance of early years in one’s development. As the present day society is developing into more sophisticated, more competitive society, the present and coming generations become less and less competent to utilize the human skills.
For example, we are using two wheelers and four wheelers and depending on the comfort, as a result our natural ability to walk was decreasing over generations. Likewise, communications system is developing day by day but people, are becoming less efficient to communicate with one another. The modern life style brought many opportunities, and luxuries; as a result both parents are working. As a result the care they are showing with their children during formative years or early years is becoming time bound. The School system is composed of different managements where the government hold is less. Many times the primary School Teachers are not trained at all!! Even if they are trained like in government Schools, they are trained for Higher Secondary Schools (Recent, Supreme court direction to State of West Bengal). The Parental Awareness and Teachers Training are most essential for the efficient use of the vast human resource potential of this great Country.
Some of the lapses can be listed as below:
1. Lack of trained Primary Teachers to Teach Primary Sections.
2. Effect of media, Particularly TV on Children.
3. Lack of parental awareness regarding early childhood development.
4. Focusing more on grades,
5. Comparing the abilities of children with one another. As a result Society leads children to hate one another to the extent that their interests conflict and the best they are able to do is to hide their hostility, behind a mask of courtesy. As a result many children are not able to utilize their talents after becoming adults.
6. The lack of interest and dedication of the School managements in developing the good habits, life skills, and Vision.
