We had a Darshan that evening within 30 minutes – all Credit goes to Vinayakam saar – and the darshan of a life time the next morning, as narrated by Srini in his own words! Watching the Lord from a distance of 4-5 feet was something that I could never imagine I would do in my life – We were so close to the deity - had somebody pushed us slightly from behind, we would have landed right at the feet of Srivaaru. I would be grateful to Vinayakam saar for this throughout my life. Raj and Mokka almost entered the GARBHA GUDI. I am sure the ever brilliant Raj would have admired his luck in getting such a darshan more than his intelligence and dedication that got him into the IIT – a classic case of a creative guy getting to see the real creator. The descent was fun with lotsa fotographs clicked and we landed back at Tirupati. While Srini, Raj and Mokka went out to visit Kanippakam, I, Bata and Bhaskar stayed back, cracking jokes on the TP chatters ( Don’t ask me the details for you never know you might end up bashing me). Bhaskar, being a great humjan being, a thorough gentleman justifying his looks and the engineering profession he is into, was busy letting out his opinions about the TP people and their mannerisms, I and Bata were busy pulling his legs left right and centre, not literally though! We missed the ambience of Bhaskar and Raj by 6:00pm and gathered at a bar that served “ chukkalu kalisina peggu “ . Even the coke I and Mokka had that day gave us the proverbial “Nasha”, while the others really enjoyed every gulp of the cold beer running down their throats. We answered a series of phone calls from the other TP chatters asking us about the trip and the adventures. Mokka – the smart boy – as Srini rightly calls him, entertained us with his wit all along and contributed his part to the fun. Leading a team of professionals at a very young age indeed made him a special icon. The effervescent Vinayakam ji, always bubbling with energy had been the key person all through. As a 24 x 7 helping hand, even though he is busy with his hectic schedules as a Civil Servant in the Income Tax Department, he definitely deserves his special place in the hearts of other TP members. After relaxing for the night at the hotel, I and Bata started our voyage to Narakam ( as Bata calls it) Chennai as I had some work at my Chennai branch to be wound up .. and maaaan this Bata guy is something special – his wit, spontaneity, timing and the sense of humor would make even the guy standing at the VGP Golden beach roll on the floor holding his tummy in laughter – a typical MNC geek! As we reached the Travel Agents office we had a shock when the travel agent said “The Bus you are supposed to be on comes from Hyderabad. It may or may not come this way. If it does not come this way, then please look for an alternative!” and GOSH! We hurried to the railway station to catch the “Train to Narakam”.
