The auditorium was well decorated and adorned with traditional telugu toranalu, mango leaves leaving the audience with a distinct impression of celebrating Ugaadi in Andhra Pradesh. Several vendors such as tax consultants, real estate agents, boutiques, mehindi etc were setup at the Mela, and also organized games and competitions for kids and adults in caroms, chess, painting etc. In addition carnival games with prize giveaways for winners were also available for the kids.
Cultural chair started the evening program and announced the evening program was developed to showcase and celebrate Telugu culture. Several memorable items celebrating the Telugu culture and language was well presented complete with authentic costumes presented by small kids and youth. The popular songs from movies 'Mass', Ne Vastanante' etc. were performed by 4-7 year children. The Kids performed the items with ease and amazed the audience with their performance. These songs were followed by a dance drama set to the song 'Girija Kalyanam', Kushipudi dance and a hilarious skit 'Seenu Gadi pelli'. The comedy play 'Rangu Paduddi' was a big hit with the audience and showed it's appreciation to the splitting performances by the actors of the play with applause for every punch line through out the play. The play was written and directed by Kalyan Kattamuri.
The item 'Natti patalu-Neti Cindulu' was designed to show the contrast in the melodious and meaningful songs of yester years to the hits of today which
are based on dubbed music and lyrics written to fit the music rather than convey any meaning. The last item for the day was a unique Telugu Fashion Show. The Fashion Show was designed to show the authentic Andhra dresses.
