Vijayawada projects to be taken up on DBOT basis VIJAYAWADA: The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) is planning to take up several development projects in the city on Design-Build-Operate-Transfer (DBOT) basis. Under the public private partnership mode, the VMC has decided to develop an eco-tourism park on Gunadala hill in 10 acres of land at a cost of Rs15 crore.
It has also been proposed to expand Rajiv Gandhi Park at a cost of Rs 3 crore. A theme park will be developed in 8 acres of land at Payakapuram at a cost of Rs 20 crore.
It will also have a lake for leisure activities. An automated multi level car parking will be built at Ansari parking lot, Besant Road, at a cost of Rs 20 crore.
The NTR parking complex in Governorpet will be developed as an automated multi level car parking at a cost of Rs 50 crore. Municipal commissioner G Ravi Babu has invited bids from the competent and reputed agencies for execution of the projects.
