Notice to Baahubali Apart from its teaser fiasco, Baahubali has so far managed to stay controversy free. Putting an end to that, a notice has been received by the makers of the film from a Karnataka based Jain society.
Going into the details, a Jain Mutt based in Karkali area of Karnataka has sent the notice objecting to the title of the film. A statue of Baahubali, a revered Jain saint is located in Sravan Belagola, Karnataka.
The saint is worshipped as an embodiment of peace and wisdom by Jains all over the world. In this context, naming a film laced with violence and bloodshed after the saint is not proper said the notice and requested the makers to change the title.
The ball is now in the court of the Baahubali team and their response would determine whether the controversy would sizzle out or snowball into a major controversy.
