Rosaiah writes to YSRs widow Hyderabad, Sept 3 (INN): Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Friday wrote a letter to YS Vijayalakshmi, widow of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy expressing his anguish prevailing in his heart even one year after the late leaders death. Addressing the Pulivendula MLA as his sister, Mr Rosaiah described the former chief minister as not just head of the YSR family but also the head of the families in the entire state.
The Chief Minister said that one year on, the anguish remains in the hearts of the people over the passing away of the great leader. He said that he remembered the tragic news as it was like yesterday. Mr Rosaiah stated that the state had taken immense leaps on the path of development and economic growth during YSRs rule. He said that these efforts by the late leader will keep him alive in hearts of the people forever.
The Chief Minister said that YSR is the one leader who truly deserves a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for his popularity alone. Reminding the Pulivendula MLA that the government has decided to build YSR Memorial Park in the late leaders memory, Mr Rosaiah prayed that God give peace and happiness to the YSR family.
He also stated that he prayed God to give peace and happiness to the family member of the then Principal Secretary late P Subramanyam, CSO Wesley and the two pilots who were killed along with YSR in the tragic helicopter crash on September 2, 2009.
