APPSC candidates approach SHRC Hyderabad, Sept 4 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Group-1 candidates from Telangana region on Saturday approached the State Human Rights Commission seeking it to direct the government to postpone the preliminary exam. The candidates brought to the notice of the SHRC that many hopefuls cannot take the exams under the volatile situation prevalent in the region.
The candidates pointed out that the state government has ordered the police to beef up its presence around the examination centres and wondered how any student could write the exams under the shadow of guns.
The petition also questioned if the government of the Director General of Police would take responsibility if students from Telangana do not perform well since they would be writing the examination under tense atmosphere. The APPSC candidates urged the SHRC to direct the government to postpone the exams till peace and tranquillity prevails in the state.
