Jagan's poll campaign gets huge response Ongole: Jagan's juggernaut seems to be rolling on unhindered. The euphoria is evident on the streets of Ongole town with YSRCP president Jagan launching a whirlwind tour of the town, seeking votes for his party candidate and former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.
Jagan revived his poll campaign on the second day here right on dot. The government's bid to nail him on various counts seems to be adding to his advantage.
The mood of the people is evident. They wanted the son of the messiah of welfare State, Rajasekhara Reddy back as the king.
Whether one likes it or not, each family in villages was benefitted by one scheme or the other of the welfare schemes launched under the tenure of YSR.
People thronged on to the streets in hordes and started accompanying him in his vote seeking mission. He has covered Balram colony, Papa colony, Nehru colony, Bharat colony by afternoon.
He is empathizing with the people in his inimitable style by various gestures like hugging them affectionately, patting them, taking tiny tots into his arms and sometimes planting an affectionate kiss.
He is asking the people to teach the Congress party a fitting lesson for victimizing him in various forms for being steadfastly adhering to certain values. And people seem to believe his words.
The tag of corruption is also not sticking to him. 'Who is not,' seems to be the bottomline statement from the people, who have become wiser in the long history of Indian democracy.
