Sania Mirza challenges Ram Charan Tej Hyderabad, Ocotber 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swach Bharat campaign to clean the country on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi is attracting the attention of all. He invited many celebrities from various fields to take up the challenge.
Joining Modi's initiative to rid the country of litter and rubbish, Tennis star Sania Mirza today picked up the broom to clean Prasasana Nagar, an upmarket area in Jubliee hills. The Asian Games gold medalist has taken up the broom to clean area around Prasasan Nagar in Hyderabad.
Armed with broomsticks and baskets, she collected litter and garbage that was strewn all along the sides of the road on Thursday. Sania did this for a reply to challenge of industrialist Anil Ambani who was one among the nine eminent personalities picked up by Modi to propagate the Swachh Bharat campaign.
Sania later invited eight more people to accept the Swachch Bharat challenge. She asked Telangana's IT minister KTR, Telugu hero Ram Charan Tej, Bollywood badshah Sharukh Khan, Squash star Deepika Pallikal, Tennis player Somdev Varman, actor Reitesh Deshmukh, director Sajid Khan, Badminton player P.V.Sindu and Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra to participate in the program along with her.
Indians have taken a pledge of the clean India campaign and it remains to be seen how far people are motivated to keep their surroundings clean. Moreover let's see whether KTR and Cherry would accept the challenge of Sania.
