The famous temple situated 70 kms from tirupati and approx 15 kms from Madanapalle in Andhra Pradesh.
The Taringonda vengamamba is ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara.She is doing services in the village by selling milk and butter milk to the villagers. One day vengamamba chilling the curd, she found stone like statue found in the curd. First day she was neglected and the second also she found in the buttermilk vision of god, and said to her, to do prathishta in that area. At that time Doorvasa Maharshi was doing Thapassu in that area. She ran to that sage and narrated what happend to her and given the statue. Immediately, The Doorvasa Maharashi installed the God Lashmi Narasimha and small stone like statue found to her also installed in the same temple.In the Temple there is one underground which leads to Tirumala. The poet Tarigonda vengamamba daily after suprabatham in her place went to Tirumala for Ekantha Seve to Lord venkateswara and return back. Still the customs prevailed the in both temples the Harathi to the
deity given in the name of Tarigonda Vengamamba prevails.
